Giving Levels



The USMMA Alumni Association and Foundation (AAF) recognizes the generous support of its donors through overall lifetime giving societies along with annual giving levels. The following details the lifetime giving societies and the annual giving levels.

LIFETIME GIVING SOCIETIES

The Ethel N. Babson Society: 
This society honors the legacy of Ethel N. Babson and her son, James A. Babson ’44, whose gifts have touched - and continue to touch - the lives of thousands of Kings Pointers. This society recognizes donors whose cumulative lifetime giving is $1,000,000 or more.

The Nathaniel B. Palmer Society:  A celebrated 19th century shipmaster, Nathaniel Palmer’s versatility ranged from exploration and trading to yachting and ship design. His memory is honored at Kings Point where a building is named for him and through this Society. This society recognizes donors whose cumulative lifetime giving is $750,000 or more.

The James Harvey Tomb Society:  This society honors the Academy’s first Superintendent, James Harvey Tomb, who oversaw the physical construction of the Academy. This society recognizes donors whose cumulative lifetime giving is $500,000 or more.

The Giles C. Stedman Society:  Giles C. Stedman was the Academy’s second Superintendent who was known for his commitment to excellence. The Society honors that commitment and those individuals whose lifetime gifts reached $250,000 or more.

The Howard Payne Conway Society:  As the Academy’s first graduate killed by enemy gunfire, Howard Payne Conway’s memory is honored through this Society. This society recognizes donors whose cumulative lifetime giving is $100,000 or more.

Charter Members:  Charter Members was established more than 20 years ago as a means of honoring donors whose lifetime giving attained $20,000 or more. This society recognizes “Charter Members” of the Flying Bridge who are individuals whose cumulative lifetime giving had attained $20,000 prior to the reorganization of Council Societies in 1994.

ANNUAL GIVING LEVELS

Flying Bridge:
All donors who give $2,000 or more during the year are members of the Flying Bridge, the AAF's donor society that honors its most generous donors. Please click here to learn more about the Flying Bridge and its benefits.

Admiral's Circle - Recognizes donors who made gifts of $10,000 or more during the calendar year.
Quarterdeck Society - Recognizes donors who made gifts between $5,000 and $9,999 during the calendar year.
Kings Point Society - Recognizes donors who made gifts between $3,000 and $4,999 during the calendar year.
Polaris Society - Recognizes donors who made gifts between $2,000 and $2,999 during the calendar year.
Sextant Club - Recognizes donors who made gifts between $1,000 and $1,999 during the calendar year.
Mariner Club - Recognizes donors who made gifts between $500 and $999 during the calendar year.
Compass Club Recognizes donors who made gifts between $250 and $499 during the calendar year.
Century Club Recognizes donors who made gifts between $100 and $249 during the calendar year.
