: The USMMA Alumni Association and Foundation Board of Directors holds their Fall Meeting on the Friday of Homecoming week (Friday, September 15, 2017). The meeting is held on the campus of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. The location of the meeting will be in the Crabtree Conference Room, which is located on the Second Deck of the Schuyler Otis Bland Library, unless otherwise announced.
All alumni, friends, faculty, and staff are invited to attend this open meeting. An agenda will be posted prior to the meeting date. Agenda items normally include but are not limited to a State of the Alumni Association and Foundation presented by the Chairman of the Board; Financial update of the Alumni Association and Foundation including bank account and investments; Election of Board members if necessary; an update of the Alumni Association and Foundation's budget and contributions; an address by the Superintendent of the Academy and/or other Academy personnel; government relations; Parents Association update; gift offers to the Academy; and any new business.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
: There will be an annual membership meeting at 1300 during the Fall Meeting of the Board of Directors of the USMMA Alumni Association and Foundation. This meeting is open to all who are interested in attending. A quorum of 100 regular members of the Alumni Association and Foundation is required in order to conduct this meeting. This meeting is important for regular members to bring issues/concerns to the attention of the Board and other members. Please make an attempt to attend this meeting if on campus for Homecoming week.
