Pack the Gym Saturday!
Ranked #31 in the country (www.d3hoops.com), the USMMA Men’s Basketball team (18-4, 9-2 LANDMARK) is having one of its best seasons in recent years and will be hosting two important conference games in O’Hara Hall this Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. On Friday night, the Mariners entertain Goucher College and on Saturday, the team faces Catholic University.
Saturday’s game against Catholic is crucial for the Mariners as both teams are vying for the top seed in the 2010 Landmark Conference Championships. The top seed will host playoff games and gain an advantage on the road to an automatic bid in the 2010 NCAA Division III National Championships.
- With the long weekend displacing many midshipmen, the USMMA Alumni Foundation is encouraging all local alumni to attend Saturday’s game and cheer on the Mariners! There is no charge for admission.
